Destin the Dream trip

 We have been parents for almost 20 years! Over the 20 years we have been able to soak up all of the good, bad and not so perfect vacations! No matter what we always have a good time because we’re together and it’s never a waste when you are spending time as a family. Luckily, all of us enjoy beach time, making big breakfast, eating together, grilling out on the back patio, swimming, games, and movie nights!

We have been to a lot of destinations that we’re not quite the right fit for our family! When we found Destin a few years ago we realized this was the perfect location for family time!!  But it wasn’t until this year that we found Destin Dreamers, and specifically the Magnolia Retreat that we truly fell in love!  

We have a wide range of children, from nearly 20 years old to a two-year-old!! Finding a location that would have everything we were looking for in a vacation home was not an easy task! With a family of seven our traveling days are only going to get busier as each of them get married, and have their own children. We love the fact that the Magnolia House fits up to 25 people and we can make a tradition of coming here each year! As the family grows, the house, fits us perfectly! 

My 11 and 13 year-old were so excited every morning to get up and make big breakfast together!  We had a routine with packing lunches and heading to the beach for the day! The weather was fabulous! The beaches were beautiful, which is an understatement! If I could only capture in pictures, the beauty of the Destin beaches!! 

They have so many fun games and things to do my two year old was in heaven! She really loved watching all the kids play air hockey, and big Connect 4! It was so much fun to see all of the kids connecting and spending quality time at a place that was seemingly made just for us! 

One of our favorite times was going to the community pool and swimming as a family. Charlotte was nervous about getting in and there was another family there with a girl her age, jumping to her aunt having fun and laughing. Charlotte really wanted to do this, and the family was so kind to encourage her! After at least 20 minutes of encouragement, she took the leap, and the entire pool community was cheering her on. It was such a beautiful moment!

We love the convenience of the golf cart! We were able to take it to the beach, go to dinner, or just for a joyride! It was so beautiful driving up and down the coast, looking at the water with the wind blowing in our hair! It was a nice big one that we were able to fit everyone!  

When we look back at our time as parents, these are the moments we will remember the most and we are so grateful that we found Destin Dreamers to spend our vacations with!
